Our mission is to provide current, comprehensive, and accurate information
about the financial position of the county and the various components
while safe guarding the County’s assets.
Our Department is responsible for the overall business functions of the County.
As part of Polk County Government, the Department of Administration supports the county by providing financial functions to meet the reporting requirements established by the County, State and Federal Government. The Financials are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
