It is the mission of the Polk County Clerk’s office to provide courteous, prompt, efficient, and cost effective services to the public. It is our goal to perform those duties as assigned by the Wisconsin State Statutes, and the policies and ordinances set forth by the Polk County Board.
PUBLIC INFORMATION AND SERVICES:
The County Clerk’s office handles a wide variety of public information and services. Common duties include: Administer licenses and permits for: Marriage License, Domestic Partnership Agreement, Dog License, Timber Cutting Permits, Large Assembly Permits.
Record keeper of multiple county documents, including board and committee agendas and minutes.
Election administration, coordinating election functions for the county, municipalities and schools.
Serve as passport agents. Offer motor vehicle service including title transfers, temporary and hard plates as well as vehicle renewals.
