TEMPORARY CAR LICENSES:

We have Temporary Car License for people who have just purchased a car or light truck (under 8000 gross pounds) or are new residents of Wisconsin. When you come in for this service, you need to have with you the title to your vehicle and any satisfaction of lien if there was one with the previous owner.

The temporary plate is good for three months while waiting to receive your permanent license from the state.
