Employee Relations Director
Andrea is responsible for developing and recommending policy and administering an effective Personnel program by directing and coordinating Employee Relations activities. This position provides oversight in the areas of employment, compensation and benefits, labor relations, training and development, position descriptions, performance standards and appraisals, worker’s compensations, safety, recruitment, and employee services.

Darlene Kusmirek
Employee Relations Manager
Darlene is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Employee Relations functions of Polk County by planning and carrying out policies relating to all phases of Employee Relations activities. Responsibilities also include recruiting job applicants to fill existing job openings, assisting in policy development, working with union contracts, payroll and benefits, as well as establishing and promoting the maintenance of a safe, accident free, and healthy work environment by conducting a safety program including employee training, and serving as Polk County's HIPAA Privacy Officer.

Jane Cooper
Administrative Assistant
Jane is responsible for administrative support duties for the Employee Relations Director and Employee Relations Manager, posting job openings, advertising, and tracking of all position changes within the County. She also coordinates the employment orientation process and provides oversight for the scheduling and coordination functions of, and related to, the Employee Relations office.
