Laurie Anderson was appointed Polk County Register of Deeds by Governor Doyle in 2003, and elected to the position in 2004.  Prior to being appointed she worked twenty years in the office and had been promoted to Chief Deputy Register of Deeds.

Laurie has lived most of her life in Polk County, and graduated from Unity High School in Balsam Lake.

Laurie is married; her husband is a truck driver.  They have two sons; the oldest son resides in Las Vegas, NV with his wife, and the youngest works and resides in Eau Claire WI. She enjoys riding ATV, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
